#24228: The little little things patience can do

I am learning how much patience is important to living a life of fulfillment.

It gives you calm and composure in the face of crisis.

It helps you not to compare when it looks like others are going faster than you.

It helps you to put your ambition into perspective so you don’t get overwhelmed.

It gives you more time to think about your future from the present in the form of little daily actions that take you in that direction.

Maybe you are overwhelmed because you are too much in a hurry to become what you see in your head.

You may even win, but the level of trade-offs that affect your peace, growth, and emotional/physical life is beginning to take its toll.

In a world where you can easily look at what everybody else is doing compared to what you are doing, patience + focus is key.

It will keep you grounded and in the right frame of mind regarding what should come next.

You can get so caught up comparing and wanting, that you are not living the life that can possibly create the very things you are wanting. It takes intentionality to build. And you will not build your own if you spend time worrying about why your own is not like...

I am still young in this business thing, but one thing is already clear: you don't treat everybody the same way. Not in business. Not in comms. Not in branding or marketing. If you don't understand your audience, you will create problems you won't immediately see. You can't send the same push notification to everybody. At a certain level, even sending the same email to everyone becomes lazy. People need to be grouped into behavioural pockets β€” based on how they think, what they value, and how...

I saw House of Dynamite on Netflix yesterday, and instead of just enjoying the movie, I was seeing the weight of responsibility, and sometimes what it means to be a leader. Although you people would have told me that the movie did not show whether the missile hit or not, now, I have to finish the story without a closure. 😫 I will firmly posit that leadership at any level means taking responsibility for the lives of other people; it’s just that the weight and consequences differ from level to...
