My waking thought this morning is that it is easy to be drawn into ruminating on the things you don't have, or feel like you are missing out on, than the things you have β and the possibilities that can come from your own journey. You can get so caught up comparing and wanting, that you are not living the life that can possibly create the very things you are wanting. It takes intentionality to build. And you will not build your own if you spend time worrying about why your own is not like others. Your eyes have to be one with the vision. Else, you will be pushed into another lane, thinking that you are running your race. And there is no prize for winning another person's race β and the craziest part is that the cost is usually internal. Because you can win externally and be frustrated internally, because this was never you. And even though people say they would prefer to cry in a Bentley, most times when it happens, they realise they possibly missed it somewhere. To become you, you have to focus on you. And not allow pressure, anxiety, and fear from the outside become the driver of what is making sense on the inside for you. - O'gbemiro |
